Available Institutes: Strategies for English Learners Success: Under the Rigorous Common Core State Standards This institute will provide an overview of the four shifts in Education under the Common Core, as well as a wide repertoire of content-area strategies to deliver rigorous content while supporting comprehension and English Language Development in the content areas. Educators will examine the new CA ELD standards to determine how to cover all ELD standards throughout the day.  Benchmarking English Learner Progress on the Common Core will be explored as a way to prevent the development of Long Term English Learners. Recognizing and Refining Great Practice Under Common Core The focus of this Institute is Instructional Leadership, rather than on evaluation. Participants will learn about schools and districts that have adopted these proven practices and experienced exponential  increases in the achievement of English Learners. Participants will learn how to  conduct high payoff school-wide walk-throughs, develop collaborative lesson planning tools, and how to deliver feedback that is helpful, honest and affirming
